It was bit too much to expect, a player to win all his frames no matter what league he plays in. Willy Lawry finally lost a frame in Div 2 !

REMINDER TO ALL 2nd and 3rd DIVISION TEAMS THAT THE NEXT 2 WEEKS ARE CUP WEEKS AND TO TEXT YOUR RESULT THROUGH TO ME RIGHT AFTER THE MATCH SO I CAN COMPLETE THE DRAW AND LET THE WINNING CAPTAINS KNOW WHO THEY ARE PLAYING IN GOOD TIME 

League Updates after the first half of the Summer League

Division 1

Cygnets at Con Club lead the way (10pts) but the Hawkins Arms (8pts) have a game in hand against the Old Plough ( toughy ). The Old Plough (7pts) are in joint 3rd place with Penryn Bowling Club (7pts) but the Plough have a game in hand. The Con Club (5pts) come next while the Daniell (a) (3pts) and Caharrack Social Club (0) are scrapping it out at the bottom. The new format seems to be settling down and not only games are finishing quicker but a most of the players are now enjoying it. Top of the 1st Division aggragate is K.Ashwood with 14 frames and a game in hand, L.Rundle from P.B.C is on 13 and then a whole load of players on 11 frames (me included). Not many 8 balls this summer, c'mon lads were better than that arn't we ?

Division 2

This league is, in my opinion, over . Three Tuns (13pts) have won, in effect, every game, however due to a slip up they drew against County (a) having played a unregistered player (come on Willy sort it out). They have begun like a team meaning business. Lawry ( not lost a frame yet ), Bennetts and Snell to name but a few are pushing to get up to the top league which is obviously where they should be. It will be close for second spot but I think it will go to County Arms "a" ( 9pts) above a strengthened Cricketers team ( 5pts ) who have a game in hand. Comrades Club (5pts), Old Plough "b" (4pts) and County Arms "b" (4pts) are once again scrapping it out to avoid the drop. Top of the aggragates in this league is the Tun's Willy Lawry with an impressive 21 - 0 frames, beware tho Willy your fellow Tun's players, D.Griffiths and D.Bennett, and Tom Cary of the County Arms are breathing down your neck with 18, 16 and 16 frames respectivley.

Division 3

This league is, as expected, going to be a close run affair with any 2 of 3 teams (sorry Daniell "d" and Swan"a") in with a shout of promotion. Daniell (c) (10pts), Swan (b) (9pts) and Rising Sun (8pts)  are top, 2nd, and 3rd but Daniell (c) have a game in hand so its all to play for but I can see this league going to frame difference. At the top of this leagues averages is Swan (b's) veteran Alan Merrifield who is two frames clear of Rising Sun duo N.Tiltman and J.Spargo.
